Do you want to develop within welding and quality? We are looking for an Operational Technician at AQ JITMech in Örnsköldsvik!
Do you have experience from the manufacturing industry and want to take the next step in your career? Do you thrive being the hub of activity in production and want to learn more about quality assurance and welding processes? Then you might be the one we are looking for!
About the role
As an operational support resource within welding and quality, you play a key role in our daily production. You work closely with both our welding manager and quality manager. Your focus is to ensure that our processes maintain the highest quality and that production follows established requirements. The role is highly operational, and you will spend a large part of your time out in the workshop.
This is a fantastic development role for you who want to learn the trade from the ground up with the aim of taking on greater responsibility over time.
Your main responsibilities
Operational Support – Welding
- Support the welding manager in monitoring welding processes according to ISO 3834.
- Assist in the creation and updating of WPS and WPQR.
- Perform simple checks of materials, consumables, and equipment.
- Participate in technical review and follow-up of ongoing jobs.
- Perform visual inspections and report deviations in production.
Operational Support – Quality (ISO 9001)
- Participate in deviation management and investigation of complaints.
- Gather data for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support the compilation of quality documentation, such as material certificates and test reports.
- Follow up to ensure that decided actions are actually implemented in production.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is meticulous, structured, and has good communication skills. You enjoy collaborating and find it easy to support different functions in a lively production environment. Since the role is supportive rather than decision-making, we value that you are receptive and have a strong interest in continuous improvement work.
We would like you to have:
- Experience in welding and/or work within the manufacturing industry.
- Basic knowledge of reading drawings and welding processes (MIG/MAG/TIG).
- Understanding of quality work and handling of deviations.
What do we offer? (Besides fantastic colleagues)

- A supportive environment where we share our knowledge so you can develop.
- A secure and stable workplace with great camaraderie.
- Free coffee to keep focus (and mood) at a stable level throughout the day.
- Fruit baskets for those who want a vitamin boost in between.
